Thank you for your support!
The Annual Fund is the foundation of St. Vincent Ferrer School’s giving program. Saint Vincent has served and inspired countless young minds and hearts for over seventy-five years. Our graduates are educated in faith, by excellence and with a genuine commitment to service. Every year, we call upon alumni, parishioners, parents of alumni, faculty and staff, corporations, current families and friends of SVF to influence the lives of our students by pledging to the Annual Fund.
Though out the year fundraising events generate funds to support the operation of the school. There are events for every interest and budget. These events are posted on the school website. If you would like to donate to any of these of these events contact us at 708.771.5905.
SVF Annual Fund
New shoes, new supplies, new experiences…the new school year at St. Vincent Ferrer is off and running with everyone from our tiny three-year olds to our veteran 8th graders poised for a superb year. What else is new?
27 more students – the reputation of SVF School is spreading and drawing more children to our family of faith. Total enrollment has risen close to 50% in the last 5 years.
New results – last year’s new standardized test scores arrived and revealed that our boys and girls exceeded the established benchmarks when compared to the Archdiocese (80%) and national averages (93%).
New programs – Spanish expanded this year to include one day per week for the lower grades and four days for the higher grades, and we have also expanded the “Gifted” Program.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to provide our 281 youngsters with an exemplary experience of faith formation and academic excellence. Often you hear SVF – Where Greatness Begins, and this is true. Greatness indeed begins here…with your help. Can we count on you?
Your support, both prayerful and financial, will directly benefit these boys and girls. Our priorities include…
Safety: Today’s realities require us to equip our school not only with brilliant and caring teachers but also with electronic doors and security cameras to ensure the safety of our children at all times.
Curriculum: While the principles of reading, writing and arithmetic remain, the learning process is changing with the advent of new technology. This year our 1st through 4th grade children will transition from textbooks to e-books which research shows offers tremendous benefits to both those who struggle and those who are gifted.
Financial Aid: With tuition costs now exceeding $6,000 a year, financial aid is essential to help families who value Catholic education bridge the gap between what they can afford and the full cost.
Facility: Having recently celebrated our 75th anniversary, it’s no surprise that our repairs and updates for our HVAC, boiler and technology infrastructure are necessary.
