2009 SVF “Rock-a-Thon”

The spirited students of SVF hit the streets of Elmwood Park and River Forest on October 2nd to raise money for their school. After listening to the SVF Rock Band, “Shady Streets,” the students donned bright orange t-shirts with a student-designed logo on the front and the generous sponsors listed on the back. As the photos testify, it was a great and fun event for everyone!

Free Playgroup
Did you know St. Vincent Ferrer has a FREE playgroup for children under three years of age? There are games, crafts, snacks and story time. What a great way for parents to socialize with other community members while your children interact with others their own age!
Play group will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30 AM in the school.
  If you are interested in joining this fun get together, please go to the school office to register your child. Any questions? Call the school office at 708-771-5905.

Jr. High Math Masters

   For the sixth consecutive year, St. Vincent Ferrer's students are spending their afternoons not at the mall or playing video games but at Math Club. Seventh and eighth grade students spend one afternoon each week being challenged and exicted by logic problems, algebraic equations, real world problems, and various mathematical concepts. On Tuesday afternoon half of the entire eighth grade class met to resume their pursuit of fun and expertise in math. The seventh graders meet on Thursday afternoons with just as much energy and excitement. This is shaping up as a very exciting mathematical year here at St. Vincent Ferrer. The Math Club is sponsored by the very energetic Ms. Donna Bergen.
